After a collision, the estimate can include decisions about parts, procedures and timing. Ask your insurer and repair centre to explain the parts listed in the estimate, what alternatives are proposed and how they affect the repair plan.
A useful starting point is to ask for a written explanation of the replacement components, any repair procedures that apply and whether the scope may change after disassembly. Keep copies of the estimate, claim number and communication about your repair.
